ANZ New Zealand hosted its inaugural National Matariki Conference - Tākiri Te Awatea - in Auckland on June 22.

Throughout the day, numerous guest speakers presented insights on everything from ANZ's upcoming Te Ao Māori strategy, Tākiri-ā-Rangi, to the meaning behind Matariki, and the stories associated with it.

One of the many highlights was a Q+A session with renowned actress Rena Owen, who shared her knowledge and thoughts for the future of Aotearoa, and attendees were also invited to a special preview screening of Whina - the story of Dame Whina Cooper - ahead of its release.
