ANZ honoured at global private banking awards

ANZ has won two awards at the PWM/The Banker Global Private Banking Awards in London.

ANZ was named Best Private Bank in New Zealand (for the second year in a row) and won the award for Best Private Bank for Customer Service, Australasia.

“These awards are recognition of our relentless focus on putting clients first and our skill in developing trusted relationships with our clients,” said Craig Mulholland, ANZ’s Managing Director of Wealth & Private Bank.

“We know relationships are highly valued by our clients, and in times of uncertainty they are more important than ever.”

ANZ Private is a service for high-net worth clients who typically have at least $1 million of lending, with an annual income of $300,000 or more; or who have at least $1 million to invest. ANZ Private also has Investment Specialists who look after clients with $250,000 - $1 million to invest.

“Winning the Best Private Bank in New Zealand title for a second year means a great deal for our team” said Mr Mulholland. “The challenge was to show that we’ve continued to develop and improve an already outstanding service. Our success is recognition of the commitment of the entire ANZ Private team to constantly enhance our offering.”

This is the 11th year the awards have been held, with more than 200 private banks across the world having taken part at least once.

“We’re very proud of the fact that we’ve achieved outstanding levels of client satisfaction over a long time and that it’s continued to improve off an already high base. Overall, 91% of clients are very satisfied with our service and 9 out of 10 would highly recommend us to others,” said Mr Mulholland.
