ANZ wins Canstar 2019 Innovation Excellence Award for Home Insulation Top-Up
ANZ New Zealand won a Canstar 2019 Innovation Excellence Award for its Warmer Homes Insulation Loan initiative (since renamed Home Insulation Top-Up).
As the largest bank in New Zealand, ANZ wants to help improve the standard of Kiwi housing, and last year pledged $NZ100 million in interest-free home loan top-ups for customers to insulate their homes.
“Our Home Insulation Top-Up is a further step we’re taking to help Kiwis into warm, dry and healthy homes while also raising the standard of New Zealand homes,” says Antonia Watson, ANZ Managing Director Retail and Business Banking.
“Government subsidies for insulation are available for lower-income home owners, and cover two-thirds of the cost of insulation. We introduced the ANZ Home Insulation Top-Up in May 2018 to help homeowners and landlords who aren’t eligible for the Government subsidy.”
“The innovative Home Insulation Top-Up is the first interest-free insulation loan in the market and it was this point of difference that saw ANZ take home an Innovation Excellence Award,” Canstar NZ General Manager Jose George says.
ANZ Home Loan customers can apply for the interest-free Home Insulation Top-Up of up to $5,000 a property (up to a maximum of two properties). The loan is available to home owners and landlords who use registered builders and certified insulation installers.
A range of customers from across New Zealand have already used the Home Insulation Top-Up to help improve the health of their home.
