Craig Mulholland to leave ANZ NZ

The Managing Director of Wealth and Private Bank for ANZ Bank New Zealand (ANZ NZ), Craig Mulholland, will be leaving the company at the end of June.

Mr Mulholland has been at ANZ NZ since 2011 and his roles have included General Counsel and Company Secretary.

ANZ NZ Chief Executive Antonia Watson said Mr Mulholland had overseen business improvements and significant sustainable growth in the company’s Wealth and Private Bank business units in recent years and with much of it completed had decided to seek new career challenges.

“Craig has helped continue to grow New Zealand’s biggest privately run funds management business, which includes KiwiSaver, and Private Bank,” Ms Watson said.

“The Wealth unit now has $33 billion of funds under management, and has seen its KiwiSaver funds under management more than double in Craig’s four years as Managing Director to $18 billion. Wealth and Private Bank have also won numerous awards for performance and service in that time.”

Under a new structure Mr Mulholland has helped create, Private Bank will in future report in to ANZ Personal banking and the Wealth business will be renamed Funds Management.
